Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
